I Think I Can

I Think I Can

Learning to win using positive thoughts, as well as speaking positive affirmations are  great ways to move from procrastination to success.  Walter D. Wintle wrote:.

The Man Who Thinks He Can

If you think you are beaten, you are.
If you think you dare not, you don’t .
If you’d like to win but think you can’t,
It’s almost a cinch that you won’t.
If you think you’ll lose, you’re lost,
For out in the world we find
Success begins with a fellow’s will;
It’s all in the state of mind.
If you think you’re outclassed, you are;
You’ve got to think high to rise.
You’ve got to be sure of yourself before
You can ever win a prize.
Life’s battles don’t always go
To the strongest or fastest man’
But sooner or later the man who wins,
Is the one who thinks he can.

Negative thoughts have a way of  sneaking into your mind.  If left unchecked, they will grow.  They will spread like a cancer.  These thoughts will have a negative affect on self-consciousness.

If you think you can, then you will.  If you think you can’t, then you won’t.  It’s as simple as that.  Your thinking leads to the words that you speak.  Negative thinking results in words that lack confidence.

Turn those thoughts and words into positive affirmations, and you are setting yourself up for success.  The Word of God has power.  For instance, you want to loose ten pounds to fit into a dress for a special occasion.  The dress is there.  You know that you cannot get into it.  If you choose to allow the negative thoughts, such as I will never fit this dress,  take over, you will never fit it.  Begin to recognize those negative thoughts.  Block them by verbally saying I will fit this dress.  Add a scripture to it:  I can do all things through Christ that strengthen me and I shall have whatever I say.  Meditate on these scriptures daily until memorized.  Memorize them until they become second nature.  Allow them to become deeply rooted in your heart like a tree planted by the river of living water.  Speak it.  Make it a reality.  Words have power.  Learn to turn your circumstances around by changing your thoughts and words.  I think I can will become I know I can.
